5.  Try-outs:

                                                          i v.      Facebook: Hasn’t been active in several years. Is out of date, we are looking for a parent volunteer to update and run the Facebook page, please let a coach know if you are interested.

7.  Budget

a.  Program expenses: $12,000-$14,000 per year (going up every year)

                                                              i.      We must be a self-supporting program

                                                             ii.      Fundraising is a necessary evil. We are not allowed to ask parents to pay a specific amount instead of fundraising (School Board Policy)

                                                           iii.      We get no money from Boone County Schools so we must raise money ourselves.

 

8.  Fundraising

a.  Finance: Have averaged 13,000 the past 5 years in Fundraising.

                                                              i.      Fundraising university (same as baseball and volleyball have used in past year)

                                                             ii.      July 31 to August 12

b.  School Required Fundraising:

                                                              i.      All sports combined through AD (required participation)

1.  Golf Outings:

c.   Team Shop

                                                              i.      Game-One- all school contract

                                                             ii.      Will try to have early August for spirit wear items

 

d.  Youth Soccer Camp

                                                              i.      June 6 to June 8 (Ryle stadium)

                                                             ii.      We need players to volunteer to help each day (Service Hours provided)

e.  Restaurant nights:

                                                              i.      We will look at adding a couple Restaurant nights

9.  Parent Help:

a.  Booster Club / Raider Athletic Club (RAC):

c.   Concessions/Gate:

                                                              i.      Concessions:  We are required to have a concession stand at every game. Will need parents to help run and work Concession Stand.

                                                             ii.      Gate: Parents will need to help cover gate each game

                                                           iii.      We need parents to help organize and run the concession stand—speak to Coach Collins if able

                                                           iv.      Clock:

1.  Varsity Games: May Need A Clock Person  

2.  JV Games: Clock person required, could use an announcer

3.  Freshman Game:  Clock person required, could use an announcer

 

10.  Team Pictures

a.  Scheduled: TBD by AD

b.  Picture form, bring day of pictures (Pictures taken by Lifetouch)

 

11.  Athletic Fee:  $35 to Ryle Athletics.

a.  Will collect once player has made the team

b.  Collecting Money:  Please use checks as much as possible, makes it easier for Red Book Policy

 

 

 

 

12.  Expectations

a.  NEW Ryle Soccer Code of Conduct Document / Signature (Document handed out once team is set for Varsity/JV and Freshman)

                                                              i.      Player & Parent Expectations

1.  24/48 hour rule

a.  Players aren’t allowed to confront coaches about playing time after a game

b.  They must wait 24 hours to have that discussion

                                                             ii.      Practice/Game Attendance

1.  You are expected to attend all required practices and games

2.  Excessive missing of practices will result in penalties including loss of game time, unless excused by Coach

3.  Being on time to practice and games is being late, to not be late players need to have equipment on and ready to start practice to be on time.

                                                           iii.      Parents

1.  Coaches will not discuss playing time with parents without the player having a previous discussion

2.  Parents must wait 48 to set up a meeting with coaches

3.  Players will be present at all meetings with parents

4.  Playing Time will Not be EQUAL it is earned

                                                           iv.      Yellow/Red Cards

1.  Either can result in a penalty. Maintain composure, and represent Ryle in a positive manner

                                                             v.      Behavior is monitored all season- Represent Ryle High School

1.  This goes for in and out of school, along with on and off the field.

2.  Social Media- Representing Ryle High School on there as well.

                                                           vi.      Vape policy: school policy, can result in team suspension

                                                         vii.      Drugs/Alcohol: school policy, can result in team suspension)

 

13.  Grades & Behavior:

a.  Grades Check policy be reworked, will get out information once I receive.

b.  Students must have passed all graduation requirement classes the semester before to be eligible or do remediation (summer school)

 

14.  Transportation

a.  Players Driving:

                                                              i.      Players may not drive themselves to a road match (district/school policy, no exceptions

                                                             ii.      Another student may not drive a player to road matches

                                                           iii.      Players caught violating this rule could receive practice and game suspensions


 

 

PRE-SEASON

1.      All Star Performance Training

a.      All-Star Performance Training staff will be offering multiple sessions to accommodate various schedules

                                                              i.      Pre-Dead Period

1.      Not mandatory but encouraged

2.      Cost still be worked out (potentially split funding between program & families)

3.      Will be 2x per week (morning class offering & evening class offering – more info to come)

a.      Begins the week of 5/29

b.      Will pause during Dead Period

c.       Resume the week of 7/10 for one additional week leading into tryouts

4.      There will be up to 30 spots available per class

a.      First come / first served – Returning players first opportunity

b.      More details to come with sign up form

5.      Tentative Dates:

a.      Week #1: Tuesday, 5/30 & Friday, 6/2

b.      Week #2: Monday, 6/5 & Friday, 6/9

c.       Week #3: Tuesday, 6/13 & Thursday, 6/15

d.      Week #4: Tuesday, 6/20 & Thursday, 6/22

e.      Week #5 & #6 are DEAD PERIOD, see below

f.        Week #7: Tuesday, 7/11 & Thursday, 7/13

 

                                                             ii.      Dead Period Opportunity

1.      All-Star will be offering voluntary sessions at their gym during the Dead Period weeks. 

2.      Must be 100% funded by players’ family (program cannot pay anything)

3.      Dead Period dates: 6/25 – 7/9

a.      Players will be on their own to continue to work (without any Ryle staff or facilities available)

b.      Tentative All-Star Dates:

                                                                                                                                      i.      Tuesday, 6/27 & Thursday, 6/29

                                                                                                                                     ii.      Wednesday, 7/5 & Friday, 7/7

 

 

2.      Open field play

a.      Right now, we have the following dates set for open fields

                                                              i.      May - 30

                                                             ii.      June - 1, 6, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22

                                                           iii.      July – 10 & 13  

                                                           iv.      TENTATIVE  Time of these sessions are set for 6:00- 8:30 (a tighter schedule will be posted as dates approach – most sessions will be at the turf stadium, but some may have to be at GMS Grass Field)

b.      The dates and times are subject to change or be amended, our twitter page will update any changes

c.       These are open practices focused on technical aspects, fitness, and small sided games that are open to all potential Ryle players Middle School through Seniors. 

 

3.      Dead Period

a.      Dead Period is June 25th to July 9th

b.      ALL RYLE ATHLETIC FACILITIES WILL BE CLOSED

c.       During this time, it is important for players to work out on their own or with each other, it just cannot be at Ryle or include any Ryle Staff member

d.      Coming into the season in shape gives us a great starting point and can put us ahead of the other programs in the area.

 

Post Tryouts & Regular Season

1.      All Star Performance Training

a.      Once team rosters are finalized for JV & Varsity after 7/21, the All-Star Staff will be joining us at Borland Stadium (program funded… not by families).

                                                              i.            Post Tryouts

1.      Varsity & JV Players will be required to participate in All-Star training (tied into regular team training) 2x per week the remainder of the preseason

2.      Tentative dates: 7/25, 7/27, 8/1 & 8/3

                                                             ii.            Regular Season

1.      All-Star is developing a cool down / rejuvenation / injury prevention program for Varsity (possibly JV as well – TBD) every Friday throughout the regular season – More info to come…

2.      Dates: 8/11 and beyond
